With the NS-Business Card you park easily and quickly. Administrative hassle for business parking makes this a thing of the past. You can park for free or with the special 'travelers discount day rate' at one of the paid Q-Park P+R lots: 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

You can quickly and easily drive in and out using license plate recognition and check in advance how many parking spaces are available at these locations. And did you travel by train on the same day? If so, you can park at a reduced daily rate with travelers' discount.

How does it work?

Business parking at the P+R car park is very easy: just check in and out with your NS-Business Card. The parking costs will be billed at the end of the month via your NS-Business Card invoice.

Note: business parking is only possible if the door-to-door service 'P+R' is active on your NS-Business Card. Not sure? Check it in your My NS Business account or ask your employer.

Entering the car park

• Drive up to the gate.
• Present your NS-Business Card.
• The gate will open and you can park your car.

Pay

Simply pay with your NS-Business Card when you leave the car park. Would you like to use the discount? Then do the following:

• First hold your NS-Business Card in front of 'Reizigerskorting' on the pay machine.
• Then hold your card in front of 'Betalen NS-Business Card' on the pay machine.

Leaving the car park

• Drive up to the gate.
• Present your NS-Business Card with ‘P+R’ door-to-door service active to the card reader.
• The train journey discount will be calculated automatically and the amount owed will be billed via the invoice*.
• The gate will open and you can leave the car park.

* The rate is automatically billed via your NS-Business Card invoice. If your employer has issued you an NS-Business Card and allowed you to use the P+R car park for business travel, then the costs will be billed to your employer’s invoice automatically. 

Train journey discount for parking

If you travel by train using your NS-Business Card the same day, then you can enjoy a discount or even free parking at the P+R car park.

This special day fare applies in combination with a train trip on the same day, when you check in and out with your NS-Business Card, OV-chipcard or e-ticket. This fare applies to train journeys with all carriers, not only if you travel with NS. When getting off the train, first scan your NS-Business Card, OV-chipcard or e-ticket. The discount is then calculated after which you can pay. You can then pay with your NS-Business Card and you will see the parking costs on your NS-Business Card invoice afterwards. Parking for several days? Even then you get a discount, provided you leave the P+R site on the same day as your return trip by train.

Good to know

• You can only scan the e-ticket for train travel discount at all paid P+R locations with license plate recognition.
• You must be checked out with the e-ticket at the gates so that your trip is registered for the traveler discount.
• The discount does not apply to international train trips.

Questions and answers on P+R

Can I also get a discount if I have an NS-Business Card without the P+R product?

If your employer has not given permission to use your NS-Business Card to park at P+R facilities, you can still benefit from the special daily rate for private train journeys

How do I get the traveller discount?

This special daily rate applies in combination with a train journey on the same day, if you check in and out with your NS-Business Card. The rate applies to travel with any rail carrier, not just NS. When you leave, first scan your NS-Business Card. The discount will be calculated automatically when you pay for parking. If you would like to park for more than one day, then you can still receive the discount if you leave the P+R car park on the same day as your return journey by train.

Which types of OV-chipkaart are eligible for the discount traveller’s daily rate?

You can receive the special daily rate if you have the following OV-chipkaart: personal OV-chipkaart or NS-Business Card, anonymous OV-chipkaart or single-use chipkaart (ticket from the ticket machine).

I haven’t parked for long enough to get the daily rate. Am I still eligible for a traveller discount?

No. The traveller’s rate is calculated based on the daily rate, not the hourly rate.

I didn’t receive the traveller discount. What should I do now?

Fill in the refund form 'P+R traveller discount’.

How long can I park with a discount?

You can receive a discount when you park for more than one day, as long as you leave the P+R car park on the same day as your return journey by train. You can receive a discount for a maximum of 28 consecutive parking days.

Can I receive a discount if I travel using an e-ticket?

Yes, the discount applies if you travel with an NS-Business Card, OV-chipkaart or e-ticket. You do need to check out.

Can I pay with cash at a P+R car park?

No, you cannot pay for parking at a P+R car park with cash. The P+R car parks accept Maestro debit card, Mastercard, Visa, VPay, American Express, Yellowbrick, MultiTankCard and Travelcard up to a maximum amount of € 50. If you use your NS-Business Card, you will receive an NS-Business Card invoice at the end of the month.

Can I scan an e-ticket at the parking machine?

No, it is currently only possible to receive a discount on parking if you travel with an OV-chipkaart. The parking machines cannot yet scan e-tickets. Later this year, the parking machines will be upgraded to scan e-tickets as well as the OV-chipkaart. From that point on, you will also be able to use an e-ticket to calculate the traveller discount.
