Arnhem railway yard
We are building a new railway yard in Arnhem to accommodate trains. The area on the south side of the railway yard between Emplacementstraat and Leeghwaterstraat is to be redesigned.
At the start of 2020, the vegetation on the site on the south side of the sidings between Emplacementstraat and Leeghwaterstraat was removed. Starting from summer 2021, we will be using the yard for storing and sorting trains that are not used in its regular timetable but that can be deployed if necessary. New tracks, points, overhead power lines, fences, security cameras and staff facilities will be installed at the site.
