You buy this ticket online as a voucher at Discover Holland. You can later exchange this voucher for an Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket at a station with an NS Tickets & Service desk or at the tourist vending machines at Schiphol and Amsterdam Central station.
The Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket can also be purchased directly at all stations with an NS Tickets and Service Desk.

The Amsterdam Travel Ticket gives you unlimited travel in second class on the train from and to each of the following stations in Amsterdam and the Amsterdam region:
Amsterdam and region: Amsterdam Amstel, Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA, Amsterdam Centraal, Amsterdam Holendrecht, Amsterdam Lelylaan, Amsterdam Muiderpoort, Amsterdam RAI, Amsterdam Sciencepark, Amsterdam Sloterdijk, Amsterdam Zuid, Diemen, Diemen Zuid en Duivendrecht.
Towards Almere: Almere Buiten, Almere Muziekwijk, Almere Centrum, Almere Oostvaarders, Almere Parkwijk, Almere Poort en Lelystad Centrum.
Towards Hilversum: Weesp, Hilversum, Hilversum Media Park, Hilversum Sportpark, Naarden-Bussum.
Towards Purmerend/Uitgeest: Zaandam, Zaandam Kogerveld, Koog aan de Zaan, Zaandijk Zaanse Schans en Uitgeest.
Towards Haarlem: Beverwijk, Bloemendaal, Driehuis, Haarlem, Haarlem Spaarnwoude, Halfweg-Zwanenburg, Santpoort Noord, Santpoort Zuid, Overveen en Zandvoort aan Zee.

Tram, bus, metro and ferry
The ticket can be used for all trams, buses and night buses, metros and ferries operated by GVB, EBS, Keolis and Connexxion in Amsterdam and the Amsterdam region.
When does the ticket become valid?
The ticket becomes valid from the first time that you check in, and remains valid until 4:00 am on the day after the last day that the ticket is valid (the ticket is valid for 1, 2 or 3 days depending on the type of ticket). The day begins at 0:00 am (midnight). Example: If you check in with your 2-day ticket at midnight on Wednesday, then your ticket will be valid until 4:00 am on Friday morning.

Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket as single-use chipkaart
The ticket is a single-use chipkaart. You check in at the start of your journey, and then check out again at the end of your journey.
Checking in and out with your Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket
Hold your Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket up to a pole or gate to check in for your train journey. Upon arrival, if you leave the train and station, then you must do the same thing to check out. You check in and out for each carrier, including if you transfer to a bus, tram or metro. You must first check out at an NS card reader before checking in on another carrier.

How do I travel using the Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket?
Travelling using the ticket is the same as with a normal single-use smart card. You check in and out for each carrier company. Also available as a ticket on your smart phone.
