Engineering works Schiphol Airport
ProRail is improving the track at Schiphol Airport from Friday 8 November to Sunday 10 November and from Saturday 16 November to Tuesday 3 December. See below what this means for your journey. The journey planner is up to date from 10 days before your journey.
Improving your journey one step at a time
We'll get there together. Engineering works can be a nuisance, but they are necessary. We will run rail replacement buses where possible. We have shared special travel recommendations and alternative routes. There will be a heightened NS presence at stations to help you. Trains will be extra long where possible.
We will do everything in our power to make your journey as smooth as possible. All for the sake of helping the Netherlands take the next step.
Engineering works around Schiphol Airport
ProRail will be improving the track at and around Schiphol Airport station from Friday 8 November to Sunday 10 November and from Saturday 16 November to Tuesday 3 December. NS will unfortunately be able to run fewer trains as a result. During this period, take into account that trains will be fuller and the platforms will be crowded.
During this period, travel outside rush hour as much as possible and travel around if possible.
Plan your journey from 10 days before departure via the NS app.
Friday 8 November to Sunday 10 November and Friday 29 November to Sunday 1 December
During these periods, there will be no trains between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Zuid. In all other directions, half of the normal train traffic will be running. There will also be work at Schiphol Airport during the weekend of 29 November to 1 December.
As a result, there will be far fewer trains running and all trains at this station will depart from platform 1, 2 or 3. Please take into account that trains will be fuller and the platforms will be crowded during this period.
