NS Account Terms of Use
Last modified: November 06, 2024 11:13 AM
The following are the terms of use for the NS account, effective from 18 October 2024.
Article 1: General
- The NS account is a general account that you must create in order to log into Mijn NS, Mijn NSI or NS Travel Assistance. For NS Zakelijk, the employer must create a separate account that the employee can use to log into Mijn NS Zakelijk. You must have an activated NS account in order to log into these online environments through the NS website or NS apps (the NS account, Mijn NS, Mijn NS Zakelijk and Mijn NSI are hereafter referred to collectively as 'NS accounts'). In Mijn NS and Mijn NS Zakelijk, you can do things such as view and change your product details, view your invoices, manage your personal data, and view your travel history. In Mijn NSI, you can do things such as view, cancel and change your international journeys.
- The NS account, Mijn NS and Mijn NS Zakelijk are offered and made available by NS Reizigers B.V., with its registered offices at Laan van Puntenburg 100 in Utrecht, and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 30124362. Mijn NSI is offered and made available by NS Internationaal B.V., with its registered offices at Stationsplein 25, 1012 AB, Amsterdam, and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 30172195 (NS Reizigers B.V. and NS Internationaal B.V. are hereafter referred to collectively as 'NS').
- These NS Account Terms of Use are applicable upon the creation and use of the NS account (hereafter referred to as 'Terms of Use'). You agree to these Terms of Use when you make an NS account. You can download, save and/or print these Terms of Use. You can also consult these Terms of Use on the NS website. See ns.nl/voorwaarden.
- For certain NS products and services, such as NS Flex and requesting NS Travel Assistance online, it is necessary to have an NS account to make use of the services associated with that product or service. In that case, the relevant product terms and conditions stipulate that you have to have an NS account, so that NS can send you messages and prepare invoices, and/or because it is otherwise not possible to make use of the services associated with that product or service.
Article 2: Creating and using an NS account
- In order to create an NS account, you must be aged 18 years or above and have your own email address registered to your own name, and used by you.
- The information that you provide when requesting an NS account must be correct, complete and current. You may not enter information that is incorrect. You are also not permitted to register under someone else's name. You must ensure that your details are and remain up to date.
- You may not use someone else's NS account or give others access to your NS account. You must keep the log-in details for your NS account confidential, and you may not share them with third parties. If your log-in details have been leaked or you suspect that your NS account is being misused, you must inform NS about this immediately.
- Requesting and using an NS account is free of charge. Any internet connection charges are to be covered by you.

However, please take note of Article 1.4 of these Terms of Use, which stipulate that an NS account is required for use of some NS services and products, such as NS Flex.

- NS cannot guarantee that the information provided in the NS account will always be complete, correct and/or current; and
- NS cannot guarantee the security of the NS account.
- Commercial use of the travel or other data displayed in the NS account is not permitted.
- The following actions are not permitted:
- to disrupt, influence, impede, overload, damage and/or manipulate the NS account or its functioning, for example by means of a DoS (Denial of Service) attack, viruses or the misuse of algorithms;

- You will receive solely a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable right to use the NS Account and the content contained therein for your own use, subject to these Terms of Use.
- You must refrain from any action that violates, obstructs, damages or endangers the intellectual property rights of NS and any of its licensors. For example, you may not copy or reproduce the NS account and its content without the prior written permission of NS.

- NS is entitled to modify, add, delete and/or terminate the functionalities and/or other aspects of the NS account as it sees fit.
- NS is entitled to amend these Terms of Use. Any changes to these Terms of Use will be announced four weeks in advance on the NS website or in the NS app. Use of the NS account after the date upon which the amended Terms of Use take effect constitutes acceptance of these amended Terms of use. If you do not agree with the amendments, you are entitled to immediately terminate your use of the NS account by deleting it (see Article 2.6).
